This lecture will be followed by presentations from UMPRUM teachers, students, and artists for whom football plays a significant role in their work and hearts. The evening will conclude with a bonfire in the school's courtyard.

Lecture by Marcel Fišer / 6 PM
In 2022, the Cheb gallery hosted the exhibition On the Pitch: Football in Visual Art from the Beginning of the 20th Century to the Present. Its author, gallery director Marcel Fišer, will now present the same topic in a lecture based on this exhibition. He will explore why modern artists have been drawn to this theme and what studying their works from the perspective of sports history can bring to art history and vice versa. The second part of the exhibition featured works based on conceptual approaches from the 1960s to the present. These artists often use football's visual language as a metaphor to express entirely different content.
